The Beaverton Bicycle Club began in 1972 and was soon guided by Olympic Pentathlete Chuck Richards. Chuck's goals soon had the racers seeking to race at the national and international level. Much success has come from cultivating junior racers though membership of all ages is encouraged. Notable successes from members and alumni include over 350 Oregon district medals, some 40 National Championship medals, Olympic Festival medals, and U.S. National Team members participating in Junior Worlds & Worlds Championships. These successes are from nearly every age group and cycling discipline. In short, we know how to win, and we have been winning for 30 years.
